Haymarket Day Parade

America Nepal Helping Society, every year, participates in the official local community event better known as the ‘Haymarket Day Parade’, and usually held in the month of October. It is the occasion when ANHS gets a wonderful opportunity to represent the typical Nepali dress, culture and some of the traditions in front of the people from various parts of the world. The ANHS members, wearing typical Nepali dress-up, i.e. women in sari-cholo or gunyu-cholo and men in daura-suruwal-topi, take part in the parade with holding the flags of the USA and Nepal, and also the banner of the organization. Last time, Haymarket Day Parade of 2019 was a huge success.

But, the Pandemic (Covid-19) marred this beautiful event to accomplish in 2020 and 2021. Let’s hope better for the next year.
